The iPhone Duo is officially available to pre-order in the United Kingdom, with Apple’s flagship foldable set to arrive on UK shelves from Friday 23 October.
First announced alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max during Apple’s “Surprise and Shine” event in September, the iPhone Duo is the first foldable smartphone constructed by Apple, offering a folio-style folding design and two separate screens: one outer-facing panel and a larger internal display.
The device sports the same A20 Pro chipset and C2 modem as the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, supports Touch ID, and is capable of delivering specialised user experiences thanks to its unique design.
Users can run two applications side-by-side in Split View when the iPhone Duo is open. It can also reflect a subject’s image back at them on the outer display when taking a photo, and it supports the same powerful AI features as the iPhone 18 Pro range.
The price of Apple’s foldable device has raised eyebrows, even when considering the upward pressure on hardware prices due to demand for memory and chip components from AI companies and data centres.

The iPhone Duo will be available on a range of plans from all major mobile operators in the United Kingdom, starting from as low as £74 per month, albeit on a 36-month contract with limited data.
We have compared similar iPhone Duo mobile plans from O2, Three, EE, and Vodafone to provide an overview of how much the new foldable smartphone will cost on their respective monthly phone plans.
We did not compare the plans available from mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs), which may offer cheaper deals but which operate on the networks of the four companies above.
