Key Points
- There are several disruptions to TfL services expected this weekend, including part closures on large stretches of the District line.
- The Circle line will not operate between Edgware Road and Aldgate all weekend.
- Vandalism to railway equipment at Paddington has left the Elizabeth line experiencing delays and running a reduced service over the weekend.
- Mildmay, Suffragette, and Windrush Overground lines will be partly or entirely closed on Sunday.
A number of disruptions are expected to Underground services this weekend, with several Overground lines also affected by issues on Sunday.
This is according to the latest travel status information from Transport for London (TfL), which provides an up-to-date account of expected and temporary disruption on its travel status information portal.
While there is generally good service expected on almost all lines on Friday 11 September, at the time of writing some Underground services are experiencing minor delays or suspensions that should be quickly resolved.
Additionally, there are severe delays on the Elizabeth line between Paddington and Heathrow and minor delays between Hayes & Harlington and Reading due to vandalism to railway equipment in Paddington.
The Circle line will not operate between Edgeware Road and Aldgate on Saturday 12 September or Sunday 13 September. There will also be no service on the District line between Tower Hill / Edgware Road and Ealing Broadway / Kensington (Olympia) / Richmond / Wimbledon on both Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday and Sunday, there will be a reduced service at certain times of day on the Elizabeth line while TfL deals with the vandalism to railway equipment.
Sunday will see a number of Overground services affected by disruptions. The Mildmay line will not operate between Willesden Junction and Richmond, and the Suffragette line will be entirely closed all day. Windrush services between Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Road will only begin from 09:00am.
Replacement bus services are running throughout the weekend where necessary to address line closures. Note that Waterloo & City services do not operate on the weekend.
