London tube and train disruptions this weekend: 8-10 May

Key Points

  • Disruptions are expected on the Piccadilly and Elizabeth lines, as well as certain Overground services, this weekend.
  • The DLR will not be running any services past 11:30pm, and it will be partly closed on Sunday.
  • The Lioness and Windrush lines will be affected by reduced services and part closures.

Those travelling in London this weekend can expect disruptions on the Piccadilly and Elizabeth lines, as well as certain Overground services.

This is according to the latest travel status data from Transport for London (TfL), which shows the expected delays and closures on the Underground and Overground networks over this weekend.

On Friday at the time of writing, there are minor delays on the Central, Hammersmith & City, and Circle lines due to train faults, and the DLR will be closed entirely from 23:30 through the rest of the evening.

The Northern line is also suffering minor delays due to a customer incident at Tooting Bec.

Saturday will see the DLR continue to be closed in the late evening, and the Lioness Overground line will be running a reduced service between Kilburn High Road and London Euston.

On both Saturday and Sunday, there will be no service on the Piccadilly line between Cockfosters and Heathrow.

Disruptions to the Lioness and DLR will persist through Sunday, and the latter will be further disrupted, with no service running between Shadwell and Tower Gateway for the whole day.

In the early morning on Sunday, there will be no service on the Elizabeth line between Ealing Broadway and Paddington. The Windrush line will also be partly closed, with no service between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction.

Replacement bus services are running throughout the weekend where necessary to address line closures. Note that Waterloo & City services do not operate on the weekend.
