London tube and train disruptions this weekend: 27-29 March 2026

Those travelling in London this weekend can expect minor disruptions to Underground services, with more significant closures expected on the Overground network.

This is according to the latest travel status information from Transport for London (TfL), which shows that commuters will encounter disruptions on the Elizabeth, DLR, and Metropolitan line services over the weekend.

At the time of writing, there are no disruptions expected for Friday 27 March, with good service on all lines.

However, several disruptions to the Underground and Overground networks are expected for Saturday and Sunday. The DLR will be closed for the entire weekend between Bank / Tower Gateway and Canning Town / Lewisham, as well as between Stratford and Canary Wharf.

The Elizabeth line will also be subject to weekend-wide disruption, with no services operating between Stratford and Shenfield on Saturday and Sunday.

The Metropolitan line will also be partly closed on the weekend, with no services operating between Wembley Park and Aldgate.

On the Overground network, the Weaver and Liberty lines will be completely closed for the entire weekend.

On Sunday, the Mildmay line will not operate between Willesden Junction and Richmond, and the Windrush line will be closed between Highbury & Islington and terminating stations after 7:15pm.

Replacement bus services are running throughout the weekend where necessary to address line closures. Note that Waterloo & City services do not operate on the weekend.
