Sadiq Khan St Patricks Day

London Mayor Sir Sadiq Khan has announced the date and details for the capital’s St Patrick’s Day celebrations.

The annual celebration is slated to begin from 12pm on Sunday 15 March 2026, featuring the return of the St Patrick’s Day Parade and a full day of events and entertainment at Trafalgar Square.

The main stage at Trafalgar Square will be hosted by Irish comedian Rachel Galvo, and will feature performances from the Irish Culture Centre Choir, Moonlight: The Philip Lynott Enigma, Carrie Baxter, Cór Na nÓg choir, Jig and a Swig with the London Bodhrán Band, The Wran, Nell Mescal, Huartan, David Keenan and The Commitments.

A tent will also be hosting Irish Creative Collective sessions, featuring comedy, spoken word, music, and Irish film and TV shorts.

The Wee Sister pop-up restaurant will be serving Irish dishes in the Square, alongside many food, craft, and drink stalls.

Festivities will continue until 6pm on Sunday, and the event in Trafalgar Square will be completely free to attend.

St Patrick’s Day Parade

The St Patrick’s Day Parade will begin at Hyde Park at 12pm and will make its way through Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street, St James’s, Cockspur Street, and Trafalgar Square before ending at Whitehall.

Led by Irish writer and broadcaster Emma Dabiri, the parade will feature Irish County Associations, community organisations, marching bands, dancers, musicians and carnival performers.

Due to the St Patrick’s Day Parade, a section of Pall Mall East will be closed on 15 March from 5:00am and will reopen at 11:00pm.

“London’s St Patrick’s Festival is one of the highlights of our capital’s cultural calendar and I’m delighted to welcome everyone back to Trafalgar Square on Sunday 15 March,” said London Mayor Sadiq Khan.

“It’s a chance for Londoners and visitors to celebrate Irish culture and to say thank you for the incredible contribution Irish Londoners have made, and continue to make, to our capital.”

“As we build a better, fairer London for everyone, I’m proud that we can bring communities together for what promises to be our most joyful celebration yet,” he said.
