London tube and train disruptions this weekend: 5-7 December
Commuters in London can expect closures across the London Underground this weekend, with the Northern, Picadilly, and Metropolitan lines affected.
According to travel status information published by Transport for London (TfL) on Friday 5 December, a number of tube services will be partly closed on Saturday and Sunday, with Overground services also disrupted on Friday morning.
Friday is expected to see good service on all Underground lines, although certain early-morning trains on the Mildmay, Suffragette, and Lioness trains will be delayed or cancelled. From around 07:30, however, these lines should be operating normally.
On Saturday, there will be no service on the Metropolitan line between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Uxbridge. The Piccadilly line will also be partly closed between Acton Town and Uxbridge. There will be no service between between Archway and High Barnet / Mill Hill East on the Northern line.
The tube disruptions listed above will continue throughout Sunday and will be compounded by the DLR being partly closed with no service between Shadwell and Tower Gateway, as well as the Suffragette line being disrupted until around midday.
Replacement bus services are running throughout the weekend where necessary to address line closures. Note that Waterloo & City services do not operate on the weekend.

Friday 5 December:

- Early-morning trains on the Lioness, Suffragette, and Mildmay lines may begin later than usual.
Saturday 6 December:
- Metropolitan– Part Closure (Harrow-on-the-Hill ↔ Uxbridge)
- Northern – Part Closure (Archway ↔ High Barnet / Mill Hill East)
- Piccadilly – Part Closure (Acton Town ↔ Uxbridge)
Sunday 7 December:
- DLR – Part Closure (Shadwell ↔ Tower Gateway)
- Metropolitan– Part Closure (Harrow-on-the-Hill ↔ Uxbridge)
- Northern – Part Closure (Archway ↔ High Barnet / Mill Hill East)
- Piccadilly – Part Closure (Acton Town ↔ Uxbridge)
- Suffragette – Part Closure (South Tottenham ↔ Barking Riverside until 12:30pm)
