London Tube and train disruptions this weekend: 14-16 August

Key Points

  • There are a few disruptions expected to Underground and Overground services in London this weekend.
  • This includes ongoing work on the south London tram network, which will see parts of this network closed until the end of August.
  • The Elizabeth line will be partly closed on Sunday morning, and there will also be disruptions to District and DLR services on Sunday.
  • Good service is expected on all lines on Saturday, and there are minor delays on the network on Friday.

Some disruption is expected to London Underground and Overground services this weekend, including part closures on the Elizabeth line.

This is according to the travel status information from Transport for London (TfL) at the time of writing, which shows that while most lines will offer good service, disruption is expected at certain times.

On Friday, there are minor delays on the Elizabeth and Bakerloo lines, as well as on a section of the Mildmay Overground line.

For those in South London, there is ongoing severe disruption to the tram network in South London until the end of August, with no service between Reeves Corner and East Croydon, and no service between Arena and Elmers End at certain times in the evening and early morning.

Apart from the above, good service is expected on all lines on Saturday.

On Sunday, the District line will not run between Turnham Green and Richmond, and the DLR will be closed between Shadwell and Tower Gateway.

The Elizabeth line will also be partly closed on Sunday, with no service between Slough and West Drayton until 09:00am.

Looking at the Overground lines, there will be no Mildmay service between Willesden Junction and Richmond on Sunday, nor will there be any Windrush service between Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Road.

Replacement bus services are running throughout the weekend where necessary to address line closures. Note that Waterloo & City services do not operate on the weekend.
