Samsung has unveiled its new Galaxy Z series foldable smartphones, along with their UK launch date and price tags.
The three new devices announced by Samsung are the Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra, and Flip8.
Each device features a different design: the Flip8 has a horizontal fold and has the smallest form factor when folded, the Fold8 is a squarer design that opens along a vertical fold, and the Fold8 Ultra is a full-height smartphone that opens along a vertical hold for a tablet-like viewing experience.
The new Z Fold8 form factor is designed to help users move easily from quick interactions on the cover to deeper viewing, reading, and gaming on the unfolded main display. It’s the lightest Galaxy Z Fold device yet and features long-lasting battery life.
The Z Fold8 Ultra is the premium foldable from Samsung this year, and features the most advanced foldable design yet. It has an 8-inch main display when unfolded, an advanced camera system with 200MP wide lens, and is the slimmest Z Fold handset ever made.
Unlike these vertically-folding devices, the Galaxy Z Flip8 folds horizontally, allowing users to ‘flip’ up the main display to reveal a new unfolded main display underneath. It features several enhancements to its camera system which allow users to take mirror selfies and hands-free shots.
Along with the three different designs sported by the new Galaxy Fold Z range, Samsung has focused greatly on AI in its latest handsets, with improvements to multitasking, security, and deeper integration with Gemini.

The new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Flip devices are now available to pre-order from the Samsung UK website.

The new range will be delivered to customers in the United Kingdom from 3 August 2026.
All devices will be available in Graphite and Cream colour options. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will have unique availability in Violet Shadow, Z Fold8 in Lavender, and Z Flip8 in Pink.
