The newly opened M&S flagship store on Oxford Street in London will allow customers to create a made-to-order suit in-store.
Dubbed the ‘Pantheon’, the M&S flagship store has finally been completed, with the top two floors opening to all customers on Monday 13 July.
The lower floors of the store have stayed opened while work has been underway on completing the remainder of the shopping venue.
It features distinctive green ‘Pantheon’ branding and offers M&S Food, Fashion, Home, and Beauty products over four floors and almost 100,000 square feet of total floor space.
The M&S Food and Beauty floors opened over the past year, and this week marks the opening of the Fashion and Home floors, showcasing menswear, kidswear, lingerie, and home products.
Each floor features dedicated rooms with their own collections and zones that can be used for showcasing collections throughout the year.
Made-to-order suits from M&S
In a first for M&S, the Pantheon flagship store offers a bespoke suiting offer for menswear, allowing customers to create a made-to-order suit within the store.
Once a customer has decided on their bespoke suit, it will be delivered or ready to pick up within three weeks.
The store also features a dedicated Body Shop lingerie room and a Beauty Hall with a vast array of M&S and third-party brands, as well as a bespoke section within the homeware section designed by interior designer Kelly Hoppen.
“In 2019, we built the blueprint to modernise our Food business, with a new food format designed to capture the soul of a fresh market. We started at Clapham St John’s Road and have renewed 160 of our food stores since then, including here at Pantheon,” said M&S Chief Executive Stuart Machin.
“Now we’re taking that same approach into Fashion, Home and Beauty. Pantheon on Oxford Street, where we’ve had a store since 1938, is our first full-line flagship and our R&D store for Fashion, Home and Beauty.”
“It’s where we’re testing how we make shopping our ranges easier, more curated and more inspiring, from clearer product moments to how the store looks and feels overall.”
“It’s a good example of our strategy to protect the magic and modernise the rest, holding on to the quality, style and value people know and trust us for, while making the experience more modern.”
