London Tube and train disruptions this weekend: 3-5 July

Key Points

  • A few Underground and Overground lines will be disrupted this weekend.
  • These include the District and DLR lines, which will be partly closed on Saturday and Sunday.
  • The Hammersmith & City line will be completely closed throughout the weekend.
  • Other lines affected by disruptions include the Weaver, Mildmay, and Lioness Overground services.

A handful of Underground and Overground lines are expected to be hit by disruptions this weekend.

According to the latest travel status information from Transport for London (TfL), those travelling in London this weekend can expect some lines to be partly or entirely closed on certain days.

Most disruptions will occur on Saturday and Sunday, with only minor delays to the Bakerloo, Lioness, and Metropolitan lines recorded on Friday, as well as a part closure of the Weaver line between Chingford and Hackney Downs.

On Saturday and Sunday, there will be no service on the District line between Tower Hill and Upminster, and the DLR will be closed between Prince Regent and Beckton.

The Hammersmith & City line will be completely closed throughout the weekend, and the Mildmay line will not operate a service between Shepherds Bush and Willesden Junction from Saturday evening until Sunday afternoon.

Good service is expected on all other lines throughout the weekend, although there may be unanticipated issues on the network that could lead to outages or line closures.

Replacement bus services are running throughout the weekend where necessary to address line closures. Note that Waterloo & City services do not operate on the weekend.
