Tube and train disruptions this weekend: 5-7 June

Key Points

  • Disruptions are expected on certain Underground and Overground services in London this weekend.
  • On the back of a week of strikes, services will largely return to normal, but some disruptions are expected to occur.
  • The District and Piccadilly lines will be partly closed, and the Lioness, Mildmay, and Weaver lines will suffer disruptions over the weekend.

Those travelling in London can expect disruptions to specific Underground and Overground services this weekend.

This is according to the latest travel status information from Transport for London (TfL), which shows expected disruptions in the coming days. Note that passengers should check the status of services before they travel to account for unpredicted disruptions to services.

The past week has seen Underground services in London severely disrupted due to strike action by RMT union Tube drivers. A disagreement over working hours led to Tube strikes on Tuesday and Thursday, affecting almost all lines.

While Underground services are now restored, there are still several disruptions expected over this weekend.

On Friday, the Central line is suffering minor delays due to train cancellations, and the Bakerloo line is suspended between Harrow & Wealdstone and Queen’s Park. The Lioness line is experiencing severe delays, and there are minor delays on the Weaver line.

On Saturday and Sunday, the District line will be partly closed between Turnham Green and Ealing Broadway, and the Piccadilly line will be partly closed between Hammersmith and Uxbridge / Heathrow.

Further disruptions to overground services are expected on Sunday, with the Lioness line not operating between Kilburn High Road and Euston in the morning and late evening. The Mildmay line will not operate between Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction on Sunday, and the Weaver line will not run any service until 10:15am.

Replacement bus services are running throughout the weekend where necessary to address line closures. Note that Waterloo & City services do not operate on the weekend.
