Warner Bros. is opening a massive 21,000 sq. ft Harry Potter flagship store on London’s Oxford Street – here’s what we know
Warner Bros. Discovery is bringing the wizarding world to one of London’s busiest shopping districts with the announcement of the first official Harry Potter flagship store on Oxford Street.
Set to open in autumn 2026, the expansive retail destination promises to immerse fans in the magic of J.K. Rowling’s beloved series like never before.
The store, officially named Harry Potter Shop Oxford Street, will span 21,000 square feet across two floors at The Ribbon, located at 134-140 Oxford Street.
This positions it as one of the largest Harry Potter retail spaces globally, tying with the flagship in New York for size and making it a major new draw in the heart of the city where the stories are set.
Designers are transforming the interior into a “wizarding emporium” that celebrates iconic locations from the books and films. Visitors can expect interactive experiences, photo opportunities to capture magical moments, and a wide array of exclusive merchandise – from wizarding goodies and collectables to items not available elsewhere.
“Harry Potter is deeply rooted in British storytelling, and this will give fans an exciting new way to experience this magical world in the city that features so prominently in the stories. Offering a completely new retail experience for Harry Potter fans, which will delight and entertain, it’s going to be very special,” said Karl Durrant, Warner Bros. Discovery’s SVP of Worldwide Retail.
This new flagship joins an existing lineup of official Harry Potter retail spots in the UK, including the popular Harry Potter Shop at King’s Cross (famous for its Platform 9¾ ties).
It complements other Warner Bros.-operated experiences in and around London, such as the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter in nearby Leavesden, which draws millions of visitors annually for behind-the-scenes looks at sets, props, and costumes.
However, the Oxford Street store marks the first premier flagship of its kind in Europe for the franchise and expands Warner Bros.’ global Harry Potter retail footprint, which already includes locations in New York, Chicago, and Tokyo.
Full details on specific interactive elements, themed zones, or product exclusives are still forthcoming.
