New Coca-Cola flavour launches in the UK

Coca-Cola has introduced a new flavour to the UK market with the launch of Coca-Cola Cherry Float, the drinks giant has announced.

The drink blends the brand’s signature Coca-Cola Cherry taste with smooth, creamy vanilla notes, recreating the experience of a classic cherry ice cream float without any dairy or ice cream, the company said in an accompanying statement.

It is available in both full-sugar and zero-sugar variants.

The launch marks the latest addition to Coca-Cola’s cherry portfolio in Great Britain, 40 years after Cherry Coke first appeared in 1985 as the company’s initial flavoured extension.

Alongside Cherry Float, Diet Coke Cherry has been confirmed as a permanent part of the UK range.

Packaging features the classic red Coca-Cola design with pink and purple gradients inspired by cherries.

The product is rolling out in multiple formats: 500ml rPET bottles, 355ml cans, 300ml cans, 2L bottles, and multipacks such as 330ml x8.

Rob Yeomans, Vice-President of Commercial Development at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners GB, highlighted the flavour’s potential to drive category growth.

Ellie D’Silva, Senior Marketing Manager at Coca-Cola Great Britain, stated: “Cherry flavours continue to be a fan favourite, and the introduction of Cherry Float across both original and zero sugar variants gives consumers even more choice within the Coca-Cola Cherry range.”

The new flavour will be available in major supermarkets, convenience stores, and other retailers across the UK, with early sightings reported in stores such as Asda.

This company noted that the release aligns with consumer interest in nostalgic and bold flavour profiles in the soft drinks sector.
