London tube and train disruptions this weekend: 14-17 November

London Underground Tfl Subway

London tube and train lines will be affected by numerous closures and service changes this weekend, with heavily impacted Underground services including the Elizabeth, Piccadilly, and Metropolitan lines.

Travel status information published by Transport for London (TfL) on Friday 14 November shows that certain London Underground and Overground services will be partly closed over the weekend.

Some lines will run reduced services, where specific trains will not run but the rest of the timetable should proceed as planned.

On Friday, train cancellations are causing minor delays between large stretches of the Central line due to train cancellations. The Piccadilly line is also partly closed, with no service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to the risk of damage to train wheels caused by the amount of fallen leaves on the track.

Saturday will see several disruptions across the London Underground network. The Elizabeth line will be partly closed between Heathrow and Hayes & Harlington, as well as between Paddington and Stratford / Abbey Wood.

The Metropolitan line will also be partly closed between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Uxbridge over the whole weekend. The Piccadilly line will not run any service between Acton Town and Uxbridge on Saturday or Sunday.

On the Overground network, the Mildmay line will be partly closed between Gospel Oak and Richmond / Shepherd’s Bush on Saturday and Sunday, and certain evening trains on the Suffragette line will not run on Saturday night.

Part closures on the Elizabeth, Metropolitan, and Piccadilly line will continue into Sunday 16 November, as will the disruption to the Mildmay and Suffragette Overground services. Additionally, the Windrush line will be partly closed between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction / Battersea Park on Sunday.

Replacement bus services are running throughout the weekend where necessary to address line closures. Note that Waterloo & City services do not operate on the weekend.
