The first tickets for London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display will go on sale next Friday, 17 October 2025.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan announced that the traditional display in the capital city will see the banks of the Thames populated with fireworks, light shows, music, and more.

The show will be 12 minutes long and will begin with the tolls of Big Ben before illuminating the London skyline with thousands of fireworks and lights set to a stirring soundtrack.

The event will be attended by around 100,000 people and will be broadcast on TV around the world.

For those who live in London, tickets are priced at be £20 for Blue, Pink, and White areas and £35 for Red, Green, and Orange areas.

Those who live outside the city will pay the full ticket prices of £40 and £55 respectively.

Ticket prices are based on specific viewing areas coded by colour, as detailed below:

  • Blue – Victoria Embankment (from Westminster Bridge to Golden Jubilee Footbridge)
  • Pink – Waterloo Bridge
  • White – Westminster Bridge
  • Red – Victoria Embankment (from Golden Jubilee Footbridge to Temple Avenue)
  • Green – Behind the London Eye
  • Orange – Albert Embankment

It will not be possible to access these areas to view the fireworks without a ticket. Tickets will go on sale at midday on Friday 17 October.

The Mayor’s Office said the fireworks are a landmark event in the city’s tourism calendar, with ticketholders alone generating more than £14 million of additional revenue for London’s economy.

According to an analysis of the 2023 New Year’s Eve fireworks event, the average spend of those attending was £138.75.

“There is no better way to welcome in the new year than by uniting with Londoners and visitors on the banks of the River Thames for our spectacular celebrations. Every year the eyes of the world watch as our capital’s unique fireworks, lighting and music display shows off the very best of London,” Khan said.

“It’s a fantastic advert for our city and a huge boost for our hospitality and tourism industries, as we build a better London for everyone.”

“The only way to experience this unique show in person is by buying a ticket, so I urge anyone wanting to attend to do this as soon as possible,” he said.
