Amazon now lets UK shoppers sneak extra items into orders already on the way

Amazon Prime members in the UK can now add items to an order after placing it, with the extra products arriving in the same delivery.
Amazon said the feature, called Add to Delivery, is live in the Amazon Shopping app and on Amazon.co.uk for mobile devices. It applies to orders arriving later the same day or the following day.
Eligible products show a blue Add to Delivery button on their product page and in search results. Shoppers tap the button, confirm the order, and Amazon adds the item to the upcoming delivery automatically.
Anyone who changes their mind straight away will see an Undo option to remove the item immediately. The firm said the feature covers products across its range, from kitchen staples and pet toys to electronics and clothing.
Amazon said the change reflects how people actually shop, adding one item at a time as they remember they need it. It described the approach as building a delivery rather than building a cart.
The feature is rolling out gradually, so not every customer will see the button yet. Amazon said more shoppers will gain access over the coming weeks.
Add to Delivery is limited to Prime members, with membership costing £8.99 a month or £95 a year. Eligible customers can take a 30-day free trial, and shoppers aged 18 to 24 pay a discounted rate.
The launch follows a string of delivery changes from Amazon in the UK this year. The firm recently expanded its 30-minute delivery service to Manchester, its first ultra-fast delivery location outside London.
Amazon also began adding fresh groceries to Same-Day Delivery orders in parts of London, with Prime members receiving free same-day delivery on orders over £20. The firm said everyday essentials now account for one in three items ordered on the site.
