Entire London Overground line to close down over this weekend
On Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August, an entire Overground line in London will be taken offline as part of a planned closure.
Transport for London confirmed that this weekend, the Lioness line will be completely closed, with no service between Euston and Watford Junction. Sunday will also see the Weaver line completely closed until 10:15, with no service between Liverpool Street and Cheshunt, Chingford, or Enfield Town.
Other lines will also be affected by part closures on Sunday, with no service between Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction on the Mildmay line and no service between Barking and Barking Riverside on the Sufragette line.
The Bakerloo line will also be partly closed this weekend, with no service between Queens Park and Harrow & Wealdstone on both Saturday and Sunday.
The DLR will offer no service between Poplar and Beckton over the weekend, and the Picadilly line will be partly closed from Wood Green to Cockfosters and from Rayners Lane to Uxbridge.
Replacement and special bus services will operate to ameliorate the inconveniences caused by these closures, and travellers are advised to make alternative arrangements where possible.
