Amazon has launched a Temu competitor in the UK – with prices starting at £1
Amazon has rolled out beta access to its new Haul store to more customers in the UK, as the shopping giant takes aim at Temu and AliExpress.
Amazon Haul offers thousands of products for £20 or less, with the majority under £10 and some for as little as £1. Haul is available through the Amazon Shopping app, and features thousands of products from multiple categories, including fashion, home, lifestyle, and more.
However, Amazon has designed Haul as its own shopping experience. The search, basket and checkout have been designed to offer a fun, engaging way to shop on the app, directly in line with experiences offered by shopping giants such as Temu.
Notably, Amazon Haul orders will arrive in two weeks or less. This is a much longer time than traditional Amazon purchases, but is in line with Temu purchases, which typically ship from mainland China.
As part of the launch, customers can take advantage of extra savings available, including 5% off orders over £50, and 10% off orders over £75. Amazon Haul offers free delivery on orders over £15, or a standard delivery charge of £2.99 on orders below £15.00.
All products on Haul go through all relevant Amazon checks so customers can be confident they’ll receive products that are safe and compliant with all applicable regulations and Amazon policies. If a customer wants to return an item, they can do so for free if requested within 15 days of receipt. In many cases, customers don’t have to worry about boxes or labels, and their preferred drop-off location – including Post Offices, Asda, Morrisons and others – will handle the packing, labelling, and shipping.
“We are constantly working to provide the best possible shopping experience for customers, and this is another way to offer low prices on a wide selection of products,” said John Boumphrey, UK Country Manager of Amazon.
“Now more than ever, we know our customers are looking to save, and we’re excited to provide more options through the shopping app they already know and love.”
More users will be able to access Amazon Haul after the latest beta rollout, which is available to select customers in the UK when they next update their Amazon Shopping app. Customers can find it by searching ‘Haul in the search bar.
