London tube and train disruptions this weekend: 31 October – 2 November

Halloween celebrations in London could be marred by delays thanks to a number of disruptions to Underground and Overground lines in the capital this weekend.

Travel status information published by Transport for London (TfL) on Friday 31 October shows that numerous delays and part closures will affect London’s transport network this weekend, with both Underground and Overground services affected.

On Friday 31 October, the Circle and District lines are suffering severe delays, the first caused by a track fault at Baker Street and the latter by a casualty on the track, with the District line being suspended between Upminster and Barking.

Friday also sees the DLR and Metropolitan lines partly closed and the Hammersmith & City line suspended entirely. Mildmay and Suffragette Overground services were running a reduced service on Friday.

Saturday 1 November will see the DLR and Metropolitan lines partly closed, as well as the Piccadilly line. The tram service in South London will also be partly closed between Wimbledon and Therapia Lane.

On Sunday 2 November, DLR, Piccadilly, and Metropolitan line closures will persist along with the disrupted tram service. The Mildmay Overground line will also be partly closed from Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction and Richmond, and it will run a reduced service from Willesden Junction to Camden Road.

Replacement bus services are running throughout the weekend where necessary to address line closures. Note that Waterloo & City services do not operate on the weekend.
