London tube and train disruptions this weekend: 5-7 September
This weekend will see disruptions across the London tube and train network thanks in large part to ongoing strike action.
According to the travel status information published by Transport for London (TfL) on Friday 5 September, commuters in London can expect a number of disruptions to public transport within the city over the coming weekend.
Friday 5 September marks the start of the rolling strike action previously announced by the RMT tube union, which will significantly affect travel on the London Underground network.
The RMT has said this strike action is the result of ongoing disputes over issues including pay demands, fatigue management, and extreme shift patterns.
The impact of the strike action will largely be felt from Sunday 7 September into next week, where reduced service is expected across all lines on the Underground network.
The Elizabeth line will be subject to severe delays on Friday and Saturday thanks to a faulty train at Paddington, and the Jubilee line will also run with minor delays due to train cancellations over these two days. The Central line will also suffer a part closure on Saturday 6 September.
The Overground network is unaffected by the RMT strike action, but the Mildmay line will be running with a reduced service between Willesden Junction and Camden Road on Sunday 7 September.
Replacement bus services are running throughout the weekend where necessary to address line closures. Note that Waterloo & City services do not operate on the weekend.
