- Concerns raised over special needs cuts: Ministers are facing calls not to cut education plans for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (Send). Campaigners say education, health and care plans (EHCPs) are precious legal protections, warning that thousands of children could lose access to education if the plans are abolished. [BBC]

The Typhoon has for decades been assembled at BAE Systems’ factory in Warton, Lancashire. Work on the final assembly line, however, has now wound down as the factory prepares to deliver the last Typhoon jet for Qatar under a £5 billion order placed in 2017. [Financial Times]
